Cornbread Waffles with Sriracha Syrup

Ingredients:

For the waffles:

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ cup honey (or sugar)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk

For Sriracha Syrup:

  • 2 T Sriracha Sauce
  • 3 T Maple Syrup

How to:

Combine all ingredients and pour into preheated waffle iron. Cook as directed depending on your waffle iron instructions. Mine took 5 minutes. Remove from waffle iron and top with Sriracha Syrup to your liking and enjoy!
